Funky gift for :iconhollenheist:, whose delightful cast of characters make for wonderful guinea pigs every time I mess around with something new :D

This is an acrylic painting on a CD, I'd actually done something similar several months back but it was less than successful. This second go proved a lot better looking (though I still need to work on my technique).

PS. CD mirror-backing is real fun to paint on!

hey this is really cool! how well are you finding that the paint sticks to the CD backing? Are you using a special acrylic? I agree this is really awesome. I used to paint on my dorm windows, scrape it off at the end of the month then paint again :)
I never would have thought to apply this idea to CD's, clever clever you.

thats a neat idea for what to paint on! I might have to try it myself :D

Something that might be a good idea is to get a fine sand paper and lightly rough up the areas you will be painting on so that the paint sticks better. I've had to do that for painting on plastics because the paint doesnt want to hold.
