Steve Irwin died recently due to a stingray barb to the heart. My condolances and sympathy to his family, Steve Irwin (the Crocodile Hunter) was a big part of my childhood. He played a major part in my understanding of all wild animals and taught that, despite their ferocity and aggressive natures, crocodiles, snakes, and 'unsavory' critters of all kinds are interesting and important to their environment.
Whether you enjoyed his programming or not, however critical you are of the Crocodile Hunter, you must admit his family (Terri, Bindi, and Bob Irwin) don't deserve this. This is my homage to that man with his favorite animal, a crocodile, consoling his little girl, Bindi.

I'd like to say that, yes, I am seriously considering sending this to the Irwin family with a note telling them how many conservation enthusiasts respected and looked up to this man.
